OmTree Shala’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive and immersive program designed to empower you with the knowledge and tools to integrate yoga into every aspect of your life. Whether you're looking to deepen your personal practice or step into the role of a confident, knowledgeable teacher, this training offers the foundation you need.

By the end of the program, you will:

• Have the skills to sequence and lead multilevel vinyasa classes

• Understand proper alignment and key actions for fundamental asanas

• Grasp the basics of anatomy, physiology, and the subtle body as they apply to yoga 

• Develop a foundational knowledge of yoga philosophy, history, and ethics

• Cultivate self-awareness and a sense of connection to your unique path, or dharma

Core Curriculum Modules

• Cueing & sequencing for beginner to intermediate vinyasa classes

• Basic anatomy & physiology for yoga teaching

• Introduction to yoga history & philosophy

• Exploration of the 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga

• Chakras & energy systems

• Introduction to Ayurveda

• The business of yoga: foundational tools for professional growth

• Fundamental asana alignment & key actions

• Sequencing strategies for intentional, safe classes

• Basic Sanskrit pronunciation for teaching

Program Format & Schedule

This training is offered in a weekend immersion format, allowing you to integrate your studies into daily life while receiving consistent, in-person guidance.

• June 6–7 & 20–21

• July 11–12 & 27–28

• August 29–30

• September 26–27

• October 24–25

• November 14–15

• Winter/Spring Sessions:

• January 23-29 (Optional Mexico Retreat, additional costs apply)

• February 27–28

• March 25–26

• April 29-30

All sessions are held in person at Sunflower Wellness, creating a grounded and connected learning experience.
